Terms of Service - Currency & Gold Converter

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Currency & Gold Converter ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Currency & Gold Converter is a mobile application that provides:

Currency conversion for 150+ world currencies
Cryptocurrency price tracking and conversion
Precious metals pricing (gold, silver, platinum, palladium)
Industrial metals pricing (zinc, copper, etc.)
Personal savings tracking functionality
Encrypted Cloud Sync of your savings and settings across your devices (Premium)

Premium subscriptions and Cloud Sync are currently available only in the iOS app.

Use of the App

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for:

Personal, non-commercial purposes
Lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms
Purposes that do not infringe on the rights of others

Prohibited Activities

You may not:

Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems, or to another user's synced data
Use Cloud Sync to store anything other than the App's own data, or otherwise use our servers as general-purpose storage
Attempt to obtain Premium features without a valid subscription
Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that sends more requests than a human can reasonably produce

Free and Premium Features

The App is free to download and use, and its core features are available at no cost. The free version displays advertisements through Google AdMob, which help us maintain and improve the App.

An optional Premium subscription adds:

An ad-free experience
Cloud Sync across your devices
More frequent exchange rate updates

We may add, change, or remove features included in Premium from time to time.

Subscriptions and Billing

Premium is offered as a weekly or quarterly auto-renewing subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings.

Canceling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple. Full details on pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are in our Payment & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Cloud Sync

Cloud Sync is an optional Premium feature that keeps your savings and settings up to date across your devices. It works without an account: your data is encrypted on your device and can only be unlocked with a sync code that only you hold.

Your Sync Code

Anyone who has your sync code can access, change, or delete your synced data. Keep it private.
You are responsible for keeping your sync code safe. We never receive it and cannot reset or recover it. If you lose it, your synced data cannot be recovered by you or by us.

When Your Subscription Ends

Syncing pauses when you no longer have an active Premium subscription. Your encrypted cloud copy and your sync code are kept, so syncing resumes if you subscribe again. Deleting the cloud copy from the App requires an active subscription.

Limitations

Reasonable storage and usage limits apply to prevent abuse.
Deleting your cloud copy is permanent and cannot be undone.
Cloud Sync may occasionally be unavailable or interrupted. It is not a guaranteed backup service, and we recommend keeping your own records of important financial information.

Data and Privacy

The App does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or payment details. Your data is stored on your device, and data you choose to sync is end-to-end encrypted. The App uses an anonymous, randomly generated User ID to manage subscriptions and check Premium access, and Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers in the free version. THE APP, INCLUDING PREMIUM FEATURES AND CLOUD SYNC, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

EXCHANGE RATES, CRYPTOCURRENCY PRICES, AND METAL PRICES ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON FOR FINANCIAL DECISIONS. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY PRICING DATA. ALWAYS VERIFY RATES WITH OFFICIAL SOURCES BEFORE MAKING FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING DATA THAT CANNOT BE RECOVERED BECAUSE A SYNC CODE WAS LOST.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your country.

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Currency & Gold Converter and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App operator is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
